Fuck.
Ronja shouldn't have said anything because this was the opposite from the effect she was going for. His hand gripped hers and they stopped moving. She listened to him carefully, but it didn't quite make sense. What didn't she understand? And no, she hadn't changed her personality, she'd always been like this... this was quieter for her honestly speaking. And she knew all about pain and fear and war... what was wrong with having a little fun to distract yourself? Ronja didn't even bother to ask. She set her jaw and looked him right in the face.
"Let me go." Not whiney, not pleading, not quite an order. He had no business with her, none at all. Ronja yanked her hand back, out of his grip, she hoped she hadn't cracked her fingers in the process, her whole hand hurt. And with that she walked away because she wasn't going to take this, she could only hope that he didn't follow her, or if he did, that he wouldn't push her around. She had enough Atra inflicted scars.

Hefeydd let Ronja take back her hand. He watched her leave. He was sorry, but his anger pushed out of his mind. All he wanted was to scream, to leave behind this whole night and let his feelings out. Instead, he stormed off the dance floor to the drink table. He watched fae and mortals dance by, anger still fuilling his mind. The music was too joyful and the dancers too exuberant. It wasn't fair that they could just dance their fears and their worries away, when all he could do was sit there, being angry. He finished his drink and stood, looking for a door. He needed to leave, but there was no door in sight. His own Court, trapping him, sealing him in. He couldn't find a door in his own home. All he wanted was air and to be away from this ball and his memories. Maybe something else more sexual as well, but only so his anger would dissipate.
He walked along the walls until he found a door. Soon, he was outside, but not before the room had started spinning. He found himself in Richmond Park, stumbling around, looking for someplace to go. He would find Ronja later, maybe apologize for being so harsh with her...
