Ealdun sat in his chair, fidgeting nervously. He was scared over a lot of things, but most of all... was if his sister was okay. This definitely wasn't normal for her... She'd known him since birth, and Ealdun knew her like the back of his hand. Ellylon wasn't one to act like this, to be so distant and keep away from everyone. Especially him... Ealdun knew the different with her between normal, busy, scared out distance, and the distant she was now. There was obviously something severely up with her, but it killed Ealdun inside knowing that she wouldn't tell him. Or couldn't... His fingers drummed nervously on the desk, as he glanced around the resturant, waiting. He'd called his sister to meet him here so he could talk to her, away from the court so that no one would overhear. At least here they would recognize a group of fae, and the mortals? Well, if they overheard it wouldn't be that much of a big deal.
A glass of icy water sat in front of him, and he sipped at it absentmindedly. Life had been changing so much so fast, and it was almost too much for him to handle... Anthonie had been freaking out over things, Ellylon had been distant, cold, upset... Even Aaliayah wasn't at her best. At least with Anthonie and Aaliyah, they'd explain what was up. He'd already talked to them and they'd explained, but with Ellylon... it was just heartbreaking to see the siblings getting torn apart like they were. Even though they shared the typical sibling rivalry, they were incredibly close. They knew about each others problems; Or at least I thought I did, Ealdun thought bitterly, his expression hard, but within a moment it softened again. He knew it wasn't his sister's fault, there was no way that she'd willingly be doing this. They were too close, and with all the lies and things that went on in the court... Well, it was ridiculous to throw a true friend away. Being siblings, too, it would make it a hundred times worse.
Pulling out his cell, Ealdun's dark eyes flickered over the bright screen. It was just hitting the time when Ellylon promised to meet him there, and he waited expectantly, watching for her to come through the door at any moment. Being queen had probably taught her not to be late, as it meant it just caused problems for the entire court. Ealdun knew he could be wrong, but it always seemed his sister wasn't late to things. The two of them were practically attached at the hip. With another long sigh, Ealdun focused his eyes on a small spot in the corner of the room, staring out the window at the ocean. It was an oceanside resturant, with a tiny walkway on the outside, also with an outdoors section. But because of the mid-October chill, Ealdun had snatched a seat up inside so that they'd be comfortable when talking. Every time the front door opened, Ealdun's head jerked to see who it was, and every time his head dropped in disappointment.
"Where are you, Elly..." He whispered quietly under his breath, but apparently loud enough that the mortals to the table beside him glanced up at him in curiousity. Ealdun gave them a stony look, then stared down at himself. He'd dressed himself fairly casually, as for his sister wouldn't really care. Or at least he hoped, as she was as unpredictable as the point of a knife lately. A black jacket with a green and white polo shirt, and a dark pair of jeans and one of his favourite pairs of shoes. He'd dressed like it to blend in with the mortals, instead of just glamouring over his normal outfit. There was no real point, when he spend so much time in the mortal world, to just glamour over everything. Sure he did with some things, but most were the true articles.
This time, when he heard the jingle of the door opening, he didn't turn his head, as he would just wait till his sister came. Ealdun's glanced out, away, back into the water, opposite of the door... He'd just wait.

It was time to see Ealdun, and she had to be brave. They'd chosen to meet in the human real, for they hadn't wanted any fae spies. An approching fae or group of fae would be recognized instantly by either of them. Ellylon was aware that if Ealdun was the only one to know about the crown going to him, there was a danger that the court wouldn't believe him, or there could even be an attempt on his life if an atra heart about it. She'd assured her baby brother's safety by telling a handfull of trusted allies of her plan before leaving the palace.
She'd dressed well to blend in with the mortals, her ears were perfectly curved, and she'd used glamour to make her hair a little less startling. Ellylon had often been told that her hair looked almost as if it were alive with magic. The queen had dressed plainly, wanting to draw as little attention to herself as possible. She wore black jeans, black boots that reached her knees, a white tank top and a gray knit sweater. A black scarf was wound around her pale and slender neck, and a matching pair of mittens covered her fingers.
Finding clothes that were not made for grabbing attention had made her almost late. She hurried her steps on the pavement, the heels of her boots clicking slightly as she walked. Ellylon pushed through the door and looked around. Some of the patrons raised their heads to glance her way, but most of them returned their eyes to their meal or drink in a matter of moments. Some eyes lingered, but they were male and Elly had somewhat expected that. Maybe she should have found a pair of baggy pants or something, rather than this black denim that clug to her curves. It didn't matter now.
She spotted Ealdun off to the side, by the window, looking outside. Her heart cleanched and she knew she would miss him the most. Ellylon swallowed and steeled herself. She would not cry, it would be too entirely selfish, for it would make Ealdun worry more than he would if her eyes remained dry.
The queen took the seat opposite her little brother, not looking at him as she loosened the black scarf a little, letting some air get to her neck. How to start? This was the last time she would ever see him. How would she say farewell without speaking the words...?
