definition of eden: a state of innocence, bliss, or ultimate happiness. this was the state in which we left the cullen family, seven years ago to the date. a humiliated volturi retreated to their castle town and left them once more to peace, and that was what they got. a happiness and calm the likes of which they had never had before. bella and edward settled down to the task of raising renesmee. carlisle continued his work at the hospital. esme re-decorated the living room. emmett and rosalie had three more honeymoons and as for alice and jasper. well they just got everything they'd wanted, the volturi away and their family settled. even jake managed to find a loophole in the ancient workings so that he, leah and seth could rejoin the main la push pack. everything was perfect. just perfect.[/font][/blockquote]
but as is the way with perfection, it cannot last forever, and the days of the peaceful eden are coming to an end. for humiliation is not something the volturi bear well, not well at all. and they've had seven years to lick their soar wounds, and they've not been idle in that time. a day after being forced to retreat at the clearing aro sent out a decree to his private guards, one that they heeded without question. "you will find vampires with abilities, and you will bring them to me. we shall form a stronger force than ever before, and then we will find a reason to pay our cullen friends a visit once more, and everyone that has ever been associated them. they are enemies of peace in the vampire world, and it is our duty to make sure they do not ruin the secrecy we have strived for so long to protect." and thus the fate of all those involved with the humiliation of the volturi was sealed. all the volturi had to do was wait for an excuse to strike.
and it was the shapeshifters that recently provided that excuse. whilst out on patrol one night they apprehended a vampire attacking none other than lauren mallory, and obligingly tore him to pieces. they were unaware at that time that the red-eye in question was a high up member of the volturi guard. all of a sudden the anger in volterra reached fever pitch, fuel to a fire already burning red hot, and now they had a reason to start spitting flames. aro soon found out about the treaty existing between the wolves and the cullens so in their quest for any reason to suite their cause they took the actions of the wolves as a direct act against them, ones both they and the cullens would stand accountable for. at this moment the great council is meeting to discuss tactics, and with the added help of a guard which can make it so alice is blind the cullens and wolves are completely at a loss. they know what is coming, but they do not know where and they do not know when... all they know is they are coming sometime soon. in an attempt to give themselves more preparation they have called back all the allies of seven years before, all whom are willing to stand, and this time they will make sure to not let it go without a fight. the thesis this time is unless destroyed the volturi will just keep coming, therefore a new order must rise from the ashes after this last final assault. one side will fall, one side will stand triumphant. it's a game in which everyone must play a part, even the poor unsuspecting humans who now find themselves in the crossfire of a mythological warzone. no one knows how this will end, not even the great alice cullen. only those fighting will decide now we've all got to say a final...
