loraleah <33
the library was a good place for loraleah, or lora, as most called her. it gave the argentum knight a place to relax, away from the other fae, good and bad, and find herself inside mortal literature. she was fond of shakespeare and scooby doo, and would often find herself reciting lines from the books when she was training. she also came to the library to stare fixated at the fish tanks that held tons of exotic species. her favorite was the little shrimp thing that looked like the french one from nemo. lora had watched nemo.
her parents had been solitary fae, and they had tried to balance out her consumption of mortal and immortal things, so she had watched nemo and the lion king and cried when mufasa died. her mum had also took her to the library, which was where she was now, pouring over a large, thick book called "Harry Potter", which was her new favorite. when she got some free time, she would come back and check it out and take it to the castle and hide it in her trunk in her room. she kept the key on her neck at all times.
the argentum knight had free time now, but she wouldn't take the book back yet. she would have to read the first one, and decide if she liked it or not. hogwarts seemed a weird place, but in some ways she was like the character hermione; it made her happy to compare herself like that.
lora placed book one down on the oak table and opened it to the fourth chapter, where she had placed a butterfly bookmark. you may be wondering how this girl came to be an argentum fae knight? well, when she wasn't dwelling in the mortal realm, she was a fierce, nobel knight. it was as simple as that.
but lora hadn't told anyone about her secret obsession. she could only hope that her fellow fae would understand and not pass her off as something stupid.
lora had received some disturbing news that had been sweeping around the two courts, of an atra fae torturing an argentum. lora knew the argentum fae to be ronja, and knew the atra to be radella. it unsettled her that this type of violence was being committed, because ronja had done nothing wrong except exist. lora had been keeping an eye out for radella, but so far she had all but disappeared. lora would have to alert her queen whenever she next saw her - violence like this could not be tolerated, and the least they could do was increase their defences.
loraleah closed the harry potter book and let her head hang back, sighing. oh, what a life.
