Hefeydd trudged into the bar. The Halloween Ball was not all it had been worked up to be and Ronja... He pushed her out of his mind. Now, all he wanted was to have some fun. Scare some little human, drink like crazy, maybe get out of control. If it took his mind off things, anything was worth it. He had, for a moment, felt happy, like nothing he had felt ever before. But it was in his nature to ruin things for himself, Atra Fae just couldn't stand a happy mood. He was no exception. He shouldn't have said those things, but he was known for his anger. He hoped that he could apologize... Or was it too late?
Hefeydd pushed all these thoughts out of his mind and sat down on a bar stool. He wasn't going to think about that, he was going to forget it, until tomorrow. The bartender asked him what he wanted. He asked for a Coors Lite, without even thinking. He always ordered the same in the mortal world. Then he remembered that he never drank it. Oh, well. It was worth a shot. Maybe this time, he try a sip. The bartender brought it back and he tried to drink it, but ended up setting it back down. He wished they served fae drinks here, but he knew that would never happen. He tried not to be too disappionted.
He looked around the room, taking in the sounds of cheerful conversation. Security guards were breaking up a fight, much to the disappointment of half the crowd in the bar. He pretended to take another swig of beer, but poured some into a nearby plant. Too late, he discovered that it was a cactus. Oh, well, even cactuses could use some water couldn't they? Okay, so it wasn't water, big deal. There didn't seem to be an abundance of even slightly attractive women. Hefeydd was considering going back to the ball at this point. At least there were attractive women there. He dumped the rest of his beer on the floor gradually and, in the spirit of being there, asked the bartender for some more. He settled himself on his stool and relaxed. Soon enough, he would be ready to go home and until then, he could enjoy the conversations and crazy antics of drunken mortals.
