Darius was finally on his way. The Halloween Ball... It was kinda hard to move in the tight leather Elvis costue. He had left his obligations and worries behind for the night. He was no longer a knight of the Argentum Court, he was the young Fae he had once been. Not that he wasn't still young, he was just...older. But, not tonight. Tonight, he was free.
He slicked back his already slicked hair. He had glamoured it to be black, it was more realistic for his costume. He wanted to look good tonight. He hadn't been out and about much the past few weeks. He'd been training, sparring with the older knights. Now, he was in the Atra Court, enemy territory. And, the miracle was, he didn't feel the need to protect or protect. Not that he ever really did. Being the way he was, he really just acted like a knight. He had always wanted to be one, but it wasn't as great as he had imagined as a young Fae.
By now, Darius was looking around, searching for some pretty girl to flirt with. Wasn't that what he came here for, anyway? He saw some people that he recognized, but no one worth talking to. It was time to do an actual search, he was going to have to enter into the crowd.

Ronja loved parties, she did, but by now she felt tired, not to mention there was supposed to be a surprise at midnight. Granted, Atra and Argentum would be here alike, but she'd had a close call with an Atra recently and she wasn't in the mood for one of their surprises. Scars riddled her body, the name 'Radella' carved across her chest. And glamouring to hide them was taking a toll on her usually boundless energy. Not like she was really back to normal yet.
So she worked her way through the crowd and promptly ran into someone. Her eyes flicked up, terrified it was Rad. But it wasn't. It was a man that she recognized. "Darius right?" She said. Ronja had always been good at faces and name. Her eyes ran him up and down, trying to figure out why she knew him and how. Ronja took a step back as she surveyed him thoughtfully. Then she remembered, it had been years ago, a century ago at the least. She couldn't quite remember if she'd had a fling with him, or how long it lasted, time had a way of warping things. But it didn't really matter. Fact was, he wasn't Atra, was familiar and was very good looking.
"I'm Ronja, do you remember me?" Of course, Ronja was at every party thrown in the Argentum court, not to mention the rumors about her and Nicholas, followed by the ones about her an Apollo... It wasn't that she was a slut, people just seemed to find out who she slept with and when. Not to mention everyone knew about her run in with Radella...

Darius was extremely surprised when someone ran into him. She seemed to know him from somewhere and he recognized her. She was pretty and her costume showed off her close to perfect skin. He tried to remember if he had ever dated her, but he had dated so many girls that even if he had, he wouldn't remember her. She was studying him as well. It must have been a long time.
"I'm Ronja, do you remember me?"
Suddenly, it clicked. It had been a long time ago, over a century. They had both been quite young. He couldn't remember how they had met or why they hadn't talked since then, but he could pretend. He did know her, he just didn't remember. Then, something else clicked. Ronja. So much gossip was centered around her. Nicholas and Apollo. And then she had gone missing. She had just gotten back. That would explain the perfect skin, she had glamoured it. She was probably embarrassed by her scars. He had heard of her injuries.
"Of course I remember you, Ronja. How could I forget?" He may be distracted by his world, but he could pretend. "What are you doing here? I haven't seen you for a while." Maybe she could clue him in on their past together.

Ronja grinned. "What am I doing here? I never miss a party." She said with a grin. It made her feel good to be remembered and the longer she looked at him, the more familiar it was. "Oh! I remember now." She said aloud. She didn't even bother to be embarrassed about forgetting how she knew him, he probably didn't remember either. "We met about 130 years ago, at that party... I forget what it was for, but I was wearing some silly pink dress, you made some comment about needing to rip it off if I remember correctly... it was this horribly ugly thing but I was still with my parents then and mother liked it." Ronja made a face. "I guess we were lovers for a while, more of a fling though, neither of us were very serious." Ronja said, looking off to the side as she tried to imagine it in her head, hopefully it would ring a few bells, if not oh well.
What had kept them apart so long? They were both social butterflies, but Ronja was higher up class wise than he was, her parents still had some say in court matters. But it didn't matter, it was nice to see a familiar face. Darius was one of those people who didn't talk serious, and Ronja was in the perfect mood for ignorance to seriousness.

Now that Ronja mentioned it, Darius could picture that night clearly. He remembered the pink dress and his comment about it. They had danced that night. They had no worries that night. It had just been them. So different from now. Darius' present worries would never have crossed his mind back then. Maybe, just maybe, it could be like that again.
Darius looked Ronja's costume up and down, then laughed as a thought crossed his mind. "Well, that is definitely not a silly pink dress, so the comment wouldn't be the same. Though, I could rip that dress off you, no problem at all." He looked toward were other couples were dancing, in the middle of the room. It was pretty crowded, but there was room for them. He would make sure of that. He gestured to the dance floor. "Shall we dance?"
By now, Darius was looking straight into her eyes. They were a gorgeous chocolate brown and he made a mental note to tell her later. She was so pretty and definitely not a bitch like some of the girls he had flings with. Why hadn't he stayed in contact with her?
ooc//Kinda short, but i keep getting interrupted when I've got a good one. Then, I forget, so sorry...

Ronja smiled. "Well, I might just let you." She said with her eyebrows raised a little. She had spent a little time with Kenta earlier that night, not that he had gotten all the way with her. her body couldn't have taken it. But she might try for him, darius had been goo to her in those days. No reason he wouldn't be now. If only he wasn't like so many men, not interested in anything more than a single night. They were so alike, or at least, they had been.
"I'd love to." She said, taking his hand and working her way into the crowd. the music was fast right now and she started moving easily. Ronja had been dancing her whole life, and movement was something she knew well, in bed, when running, on a dance floor. She knew how to use her body. Ronja didn't waste nay time either, she knew him, he was cute and he knew it. No point in being hard to get. Not like she'd been that easy, things were a little complicated given the scars she was hiding. But otherwise...
Ronja smiled at him, holding his eye contact. "So Darius, how have you been?" Uhg, small talk. She was much happier with flirty banter, but she wasn't sure what to say.

Darius shivered at Ronja's comment. She told it how she felt it, not worrying about what others felt. Darius admired that. He had used to be like that, but now worries overcame his boldness. He pushed these worries out of his mind. Right now, he was just going to enjoy Ronja's company. He was going to dance, he was going to enjoy himself. He hadn't done so in weeks, at least.
Now, she was pulling him through the crowd. Obviously, he didn't need to make room for them, she was doing that. The song was fast and Ronja was already moving, easily. Darius hadn't danced in a while, but he started moving, too. He mirrored her and soon, it was almost like nothing had ever changed. Darius was smiling. He looked down, admiring the way her body moved. She was extremely graceful. He knew she had loved to dance, and he figured it hadn't changed. His eyes rested, back on hers. It would be impolite to stare at her body the whole dance, though he dearly wanted to.
So, Darius, how have you been?"
"I've actually had a lot of stuff on my mind lately, but that's all fixed now." He flashed a bright, flirty smile at her. "But I this feeling its going to get worse, soon, if you keep acting like this. I almost died back there when you ran into me. I forgot how to breathe for a second." He decided being flirty couldn't go bad, not at a party, not after all that had happened to Ronja. It might help her relax, though she didn't seem to be having a problem with that.

Ronja smiled a little. "When life you give you lemons, pout for a while, then throw them out the window." She said. Ronja knew what it was like to have a lot on your mind. She had been severely doubting herself since her attack. It was a huge blow to her pride and to her confidence. And she'd been wallowing, starting to lose hope of ever finding herself. But just knowing no one could see her scars now was a plus, she felt like it had never really happened somehow. Some day she wouldn't mind showing them off, wouldn't mind being a survivor.
Then she laughed. He couldn't breathe? Was she really that breath taking or was he just being sweet? Her eyes danced and she wondered if her old friend hasn't already healing her soul a bit. "Oh that was nothing." Ronja said. "Maybe you've forgotten just how good I am." She said with a little grin, moving a little closer to him. Somehow it felt safe to try and close to him. It wasn't like Kenta, different and uncertain with no hope of being just another notch in his bedpost. Not like she expected Darius to love her, but he was certainly a more likely candidate.

"Good advice." Darius nodded. She probably had more on her mind than he had on his. He should stop talking about himself, it wasn't good etiquette. Of couse, she probably wouldn't want to talk about herself, after all that had happened to her, so flirting was the obvious choice. It was also something Darius was more comfortable with, whether it was with an old flare or not. And, it was a plus that she had laughed at his cheesy comment.
"I probably have forgotten how good you are. Its been so long, but I wouldn't mind reminders, every now and then." His eyes were twinkling as Darius became even more comfortable around Ronja. When she moveed closer, he shifted so the close proximity wouldn't change how they were dancing. He was dying to kiss her, or even move closer to her, but he knew it was better to let her decide the limits. By now, visions of them together were passing through his mind and he couldn't help looking over her body again. He watched the way she moved and saw he muscles slightly ripple as the dance continued.
He shifted his eyes back to her face and made them stay there. The last thing he wanted to do was make her uncomfortable, studying her body like he was. Now, he definitely wanted to know why they hadn't been in contact. How could he have given up such a beautiful, sexy creature? It was cruel, to have to see her now, and not know why he lost contact.

Had Darius always been such a gentleman? Sure he was flirting, but any man did that. But he was trying very hard to watch her face and not the rest of her and she couldn't decide if that was simply sweet or if it was funny. Either way, it made her give him more respect. He was a good guy, and even if this didn't go anywhere meaningful (which she was starting to hope it would) he wouldn't be an ass about it. She was tempted to give him whatever he asked for, not like it seemed he'd be asking for anything, since he didn't make any moves.
"You know, this isn't one sided," Ronja said with a grin, pulling him closer by the front of his shirt. "I like a man that can take charge, he just can't think I'm always going to be compliant." She liked things fast and hard, she was a bit of a dare devil and in it for the fun most of the time. And in bed, she didn't mind if things got rough, as long as it was equal, you push me, I push you. He'd probably forgotten given he slept with many. And it had been many, many years. "So don't be afraid, I don't bite... not hard anyway." She winked at him and let out a musical laugh.
Ronja put her fingers around his arm and guided it around her waist without missing a beat. It had been a while since she'd had any real contact, not to mention any real romantic contact. Apollo had been lust and Nicholas before him was more of an experiment. She was beginning to think she'd never find anyone. Maybe she'd find something here with him. Maybe. It depended if he could be faithful and if so--for how long? When you have forever though, time didn't really matter. Nothing was a waste.
